如果能记住一些基本知识，鸢尾花是很容易种植的。 它们相当耐旱，通常维护成本很低。 我在北卡罗来纳州的花园花坛里种了一些鸢尾花，它们似乎从未在春天凋谢过。
鸢尾花

根茎在第 4 至第 8 区均可生长，在第 9 至第 10 区也可生长。
鸢尾球茎对土壤和阳光的需求
鸢尾花对土壤的要求不高，从沙土到壤土都能适应。 不要施用高氮肥，小心覆盖物会导致根茎腐烂。
根茎应暴露在外。
它们需要一些阳光和空气使其干燥，如果被泥土覆盖或拥挤，就很容易腐烂。
修剪鸢尾花
开花后不要修剪叶子，因为这些叶子需要为明年的生长提供光合作用。
不过要剪掉褐色的顶端，并将花茎剪到根茎处，以防腐烂。
鸢尾花的划分
2 到 5 年后，当花簇变得拥挤时，就要进行分株。 如果不这样做，最后就会出现花簇中心没有花朵的情况。
花开后要尽快分株，然后移植到根部湿润但顶部干燥的地方。
鸢尾花的品种
有这么多鸢尾花可以种植，它们有各种颜色和大小，有些甚至会再次开花。
这里有几种尝试：
- 奥扎克回弹仪 它还能吸引蜂鸟和蝴蝶。
- 蓝宝石之美 深黄色的喉部在紫色花瓣的衬托下显得格外迷人。 它在夏季开花，具有抗鹿性。
