对于这个面积较大的区域（1200 平方英尺）来说，我首先要做的是某种路径规划。 我买不起硬质景观，所以我打算用松树皮块铺设路径。
当然，随着时间的推移，它们会退化，但会给土壤增加养分，到那时，我就可以设计出一条更永久的道路了。
我想在花园的中央区域放一个大瓮，电力维修人员在修剪树木时把它弄坏了。 他们没有告诉我是他们弄坏的，但当我联系承包商时，他很好地更换了我的花盆。
不过，即使把它砍掉一大块，我也可以把它作为小路的重点，我只需要在砍掉的地方种上爬山虎就可以了。

我先在骨灰瓮周围铺上了黑色景观布，以控制杂草，我知道杂草最终还是会生长的。 在上面铺上了大量松树皮。
下一步是开始铺设入口通道。 我在铺设通道的地方铺上了硬纸板。 这也可以分解，蚯蚓也喜欢硬纸板。
冬天过后，我们有很多松针和松栎树叶，所以我把它们收集起来，铺在纸板上。
最后，我加了一层松树皮块。 第一条路完工了！
我计划在中心区域再铺设四条通往座位区的大路，并在最右侧铺设一些小路。
我在围墙边种了日本银草和蝴蝶灌木丛，以遮挡邻居的院子。
它们占据了很大的空间，但周围的杂草也有很大的生长空间。 我在这里使用了更多的景观布。 关联链接）它可以让水流进来，但又能防止杂草生长。
我在布上覆盖了细碎的地膜，然后在上面铺上了树皮地膜。

覆盖物、纸板和其他材料在防止杂草方面做得非常好。 几个月后，我的小径上都没有杂草了（边界的花坛上有，但在那里除草很有趣！）。
